GOONDA means gangster. It is also Nanjunda’s nickname.
Only 13 years old, Nanjunda lives on the streets of Mysore, in South India with his mother, and a gang of street kids. Life is tough for these brave kids, but they are wiley, cunning and strong. Survivors.
Reel Youth met the gang through Operation Shanti, a grassroots organization who helps the most disadvantaged people in Mysore. They made this film about their lives in 2007. Click here to see the film
